User Research Field Lab — 10-Day Weekend Workshop
Plan, run and synthesise a complete research study with real participants — recruiting, moderating, analysis and a findings presentation that changes decisions. A professionals-only cohort of 15, five weekends of hands-on studio work, and an artifact you leave with — not just notes.

How the 10 days run
Weekend by weekend
Every weekend follows the studio rhythm: teach → build → critique. You work on a real project throughout — yours or a live brief — so learning compounds instead of evaporating.
Weekend 1 · Framing & planning
Turn a vague brief into sharp research questions; design your study, screener and discussion guide; recruiting starts tonight.
Weekend 2 · Moderation bootcamp
Live moderation drills with peers, then your first real participant sessions — recorded and coached.
Weekend 3 · Fieldwork
Run your remaining sessions; note-taking systems, debrief discipline and bias checks between every session.
Weekend 4 · Synthesis
Affinity mapping, insight writing, severity and confidence ratings; honest statistics for small samples.
Weekend 5 · The findings that land
Craft and deliver a findings presentation to a panel playing sceptical stakeholders; leave with a repeatable research playbook.

Why only 15 seats
Small on purpose
Fifteen is the largest cohort where every participant's work can be critiqued live, every weekend, by the facilitator and peers. Bigger rooms turn workshops into webinars — and webinars don't change how you work.
Weekends only, because this is built for working professionals: no leave applications, no career pause — just ten deliberate days that compound.
