13 weeks or 6 months

This is the biggest difference. Designerrs fits its course into 26 sessions over 13 weeks, at about 11 hours a week. Ours runs 26 weeks at about 12 hours a week, so you spend roughly twice as long in total.

A shorter course covers the basics faster and costs you fewer weekends. A longer one leaves room to run research with real people on several projects. Ours ends with five finished case studies. Before you choose, decide how many you want in your portfolio when you start applying for jobs.

Designerrs also runs a longer UX Professional Track of 10 months and 73 sessions, if you want a longer path with them.

Fee

Our Professional Certificate is ₹85,000 including GST, with EMI and a Scholarship Entrance Test that can take up to 30% off. Designerrs did not publish a fee on its course page when we checked. Other websites quote about ₹70,000, but ask Designerrs for the total in writing and check whether GST is included.

Weekend classes or weekday evenings

Designerrs classroom batches meet at weekends. We run both weekend and weekday-evening batches, at the studio or online. If your weekends are already taken, that matters. If you can only study at weekends, both schools can work.

Batch size

Designerrs publishes a batch size of around 8 to 10 learners, which is small. We cap our cohorts too and will tell you the exact number for your batch if you ask. In either case, ask how often a mentor reviews your own work, not only how many people are in the room.

How you are assessed

Our course ends with a live portfolio defence before a jury, and you need 70 out of 100 to pass. Every certificate has an ID that employers can check on our verification page. Designerrs gives a digital certificate when you complete the course, so ask them how your work is graded along the way.

Which one should you choose

Choose Designerrs if

  • You want a shorter course and to learn the basics in about three months.
  • You want a small, published batch size of about 8 to 10.
  • You can only study at weekends and want classroom sessions.

Choose Agile Design School if

  • You want six months and five finished case studies before you apply for jobs.
  • You need weekday-evening batches as well as weekend ones.
  • You want the full fee published on the website with GST included.
  • You want a live portfolio jury and a certificate ID employers can check.
  • You want lifelong job assistance: daily job openings on our alumni portal and WhatsApp group, and your portfolio shared with partner companies.

Before you pay either school

Ask both schools these questions and get the answers in writing:

  1. Can I sit in on a live class before I enrol?
  2. What is the total fee including GST, and is anything charged later?
  3. How many students will share a mentor in critique sessions?
  4. Can I see two or three portfolios from recent students, and talk to one of them?
  5. How is my work graded, and can an employer verify my certificate?
